Duff Waddell

Duff graduated in Commerce and Law from Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia. Prior to being called to the Bar in British Columbia in 1970 he obtained a Master of Comparative Law degree at Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas focusing on International Law.

For the first years of his practice he litigated commercial and insurance claims then switched to a solicitor's practice emphasizing real estate law when joining his present firm as a partner.

Duff taught Contract Law in the Department of Commerce at the University of British Columbia, lectured for Vancouver Community College in a real estate course for paralegals, contributes his expertise as Chair for real estate law courses given by the Continuing Legal Education Society, member of several task forces involving real estate law issues for the Law Society of British Columbia and conducts instruction sessions for realtors, mortgage brokers, credit unions and banks.

Duff is a member of the Vancouver Bar Association, the Law Society of British Columbia and the Canadian Bar Association.

Duff restricts his practice to real estate law in the areas outlined in the "what we do" section of this website and is available as an expert witness in trials involving real estate law issues.

Duff enjoys the practice of law and gets tremendous satisfaction from working with clients to ensure their transactions proceed as smoothly as possible and to resolve their real estate issues.
